This tune thought to have originated in northern Mississippi in theTennessee River region near Hardin County, Tennessee. 

Going up to Hamburg, pretty little lady,

Description: The Brown University Old-Time String Band, led and joined by instructors Sandol Astrausky and Rory MacLeod, practice getting this tune up to speed. At the end of each semester, the band/class hosts a square dance for students and community members. It is the final project of the class.
